The European Commission has published an updated Variations Guideline, to be implemented from 4th August 2013. The Guideline takes account of new PV legislation, technical progress, and the experience from using the current variation classifications.
The main changes are:
- procedural guidance (process, timelines etc) is included at the start of the guideline.
- worksharing is now also possible for national licences
- several new categories of variations have been introduced
- the wording of many existing variation categories, conditions or documentation requirements has been clarified.
