Until now, payment of fees to the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) had to be made prior to submission and proof of payment included in the application. This is changing. From 1st April 2017 the MHRA will issue an invoice once your application has been validated.
This means that proof of payment no longer needs to be attached to a submission and errors in applicants calculating the fees will be avoided.
The invoice must be settled immediately or a penalty fee will be charged.
A new list of fees effective from 1st April 2017 has been published but most remain at 2016 levels.
