MHRA published outcome of the consultation on increases and additions to current fees in medical devices activities

In November 2016, the MHRA opened a public consultation on the increase of its fees in medical devices activities (See the original post here).

The MHRA has now published the outcome of this consultation. Ten responses were received from distributors, manufacturers and trade associations.
The majority of respondents agreed with the fee changes proposed. MHRA have noted the concerns over increasing costs and propose to review its fees regularly to ensure they are set as low as possible, whilst still covering the cost of regulation to the MHRA.
Respondents shared their concerns that the increase in notified body fees would be passed on them as their clients.

The new fees will come into force in April 2017.
